Rachel Napolitano
ICC Level 3 Coach
Rachel is the Head Coach at Cutting Edge Cricket and brings extensive experience as both a high-performance coach and accomplished player. From 2018/19 to 2020/21, Rachel was Senior Assistant Coach and Head Batting Coach at Preston Cricket Club, becoming the first female coach in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association (VSDCA). She has also coached within the Northern Falcons boys' and girls' pathways and the NMCA Under 12 representative program. Rachel has significant international touring experience. In 2017, she toured Sri Lanka and Malaysia as coach of an Under 13 boys squad and was also involved in the Crusaders Outright Program, coaching at the MCG. She later toured the UK with the Crusaders in 2019 and 2023, where she also had the opportunity to play against English opposition. Her coaching credentials include an ICC Level 3 Coaching Accreditation, a Bachelor of Sport Coaching, Master of Sport Business and Integrity, Diploma of Sport Development, and Certificates III and IV in Fitness. As a player, Rachel captained the Plenty Valley Cricket Club Women's 2nd XI in the Victorian Women's Premier Competition during the 2021/22 season. From 2022 to 2025, she served as Director of Women's Cricket at Melbourne University Cricket Club, captaining the 1st XI to the club's first Shield 1 Premiership in 2025. She was also Assistant Batting Coach within Melbourne University's Men's Premier Cricket program during the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons. At Cutting Edge Cricket, Rachel designs and oversees all coaching programs and coordinates the organisation of tour groups. She is passionate about developing players' skills, creating high-quality cricket experiences, and providing opportunities for young cricketers to travel, compete, and grow through the game.

Solomon Mire - UNAVAILABLE
CA Level 2 Coach
Sol retired from playing international cricket for Zimbabwe in 2019 where he has represented his country in all formats. You may have seen him representing Zimbabwe at national level, including the 2015 ICC World Cup – where he hit that massive 103m 6 out of the ground against South Africa! He was also in the Melbourne Renegades line up in 2013/2014 and has been involved in Victorian Premier cricket clubs Essendon and Northcote.

Jeff Callaway
CA Level 2 Coach
Jeff is a veteran cricket coach with over 35 years experience and an extensive knowledge of the game. In his younger days, Jeff played at Collingwood VCA, captain-coached at Coburg CC and played and coached at Downend CC (UK). He was Director of Coaching at Preston CC in 2017/18 and worked with Cricket Victoria as a Coach Educator for over 10 years. Jeff is currently batting coach at Riverside Cricket Club in the DVCA.

Rizlan Iqbar - Tours Only
ICC Level 3 Coach
Rizlan Iqbar is our High Performance Tour Coach, working with tour groups in India and Sri Lanka while providing players with elite-level coaching, guidance, and mentorship throughout their cricket journey. An ICC Level 3 accredited coach, ICC Coach Tutor, and former captain of the Qatar National Cricket Team, Rizlan brings a strong blend of international playing experience and high-performance coaching expertise. His cricket journey began as a Sri Lanka U19 representative before he went on to represent Qatar at international level. Since then, he has built an impressive coaching career focused on player development, performance growth, and preparing young cricketers for competitive environments. Rizlan currently serves as Assistant Coach of the Qatar U19 Boys Team and Head Coach of the University of Doha for Science and Technology cricket program. His coaching approach focuses on improving technical skills, tactical awareness, game understanding, confidence, and the mindset required to perform under pressure. With extensive experience across youth development, academy cricket, national pathways, and high-performance environments, Rizlan is passionate about helping young cricketers develop both as players and as people. Please note: Rizlan is available exclusively through Cutting Edge Cricket tour programs and is not available for one to one coaching sessions.

Rayyan Ahmed
CA Level 1 Coach
Originally from Mombasa, Kenya, he began playing cricket at the age of 10 and progressed through the representative pathway, representing Mombasa at Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19 level against teams from across Kenya and East Africa. He played for the renowned Mombasa Sports Club, where he was the club's leading run scorer in 2021 before becoming the competition's leading run scorer in 2023, earning the Best Batsman of the Year award in Mombasa. Following his graduation from Jaffery Academy, where he captained the school's cricket team and was coached by former Kenyan captain and World Cup player Maurice Odumbe, he was appointed Head Cricket Coach at the school, leading the program for eight months. After moving to Australia in 2024, he joined the coaching team at Cutting Edge Cricket. He currently plays winter cricket for Melbourne Eagles and has represents Melton in Victorian Sub-District Cricket. Passionate about developing young cricketers, he is committed to helping players improve their skills, build confidence and become great people both on and off the field.

Raj Nand
CA Level 1 Coach
Raj is a batting all rounder and started his cricket journey representing the NMCA in the under 12s. He then made a move to the West, playing for Yarraville Club Cricket Club and also representing the Western Spirit in the pathways through all age groups and captained the under 16s team. He is currently playing premier cricket at Footscray Cricket Club in the 3rd XI. You will find Raj coaching the Junior Program and Little Crickets program. Raj is currently in his first year of University studying a Bachelor of Commerce.
